This is the first collection by Ricard Nicoll for Fred Perry & I love it! Influenced by the 1950's Teddy girls, the collection is simple & classic. The colour palette reflects typical fifties elements, as well as the block colours, patterned cottons & pearls. Nicoll combines his own feminine elements, with the the more 'masculine' sports image of Fred Perry perfectly- this is my kinda look for sure!

So Gripse decided she wanted to go to Paris for her birthday weekend, so off we went! We hit a few places- Colette, Le Louvre, Antique Markets, The Grand Palais, the Erotic Museum...... Ahem. Anyway, Farrah & I had a good time, Gripse not so much (probably because she was ill, which she then passed onto me the day we were due to fly home, but as always with the UK, we had snow & EVERYTHING came to a standstill- so we were stuck for two extra days in Paris). Normally I wouldn't complain, but being a walking corpse & being stranded in an airport does not help the situation.

Although I took the DSLR, I kinda messed the settings up & gave up trying to 'fix' them- plus the sh!t weighs a tonne, hence the reason I call it 'The Baby', but here are some pics I borrowed from Gripse's camera!

It's a young women’s empowerment program that aims to encourage young women to use the fashion framework as a means to think critically about Asian American issues. We will cover everything from personal growth, immigrant identity, activism, and of course, fashion! I am creating a space for FIERCE Filipina and Asian American women, and because we are so scarce in American media, I am bringing it straight to the young women in the program- one of the workshops include a visit to a designer showroom!

Sounds exciting! What are your future plans/aspirations?

You mean besides becoming the Filipina Oprah?

I am planning The Glamourbaby Diaries Tour, where I will tour the University Circuit to engage students with the same mission as the program described above. I am planning ten dates, and my team and I working on getting some sponsorships to back us up, so we can trailblaze the States, and hopefully, London too!! My aspiration is to become my own entity, to be an artist that has a television show/video series, speaking engagements, books, and young women’s programs. Like I said, the Filipina Oprah?

There's been a buzz in the air... The shop windows have been coming alive over the weekend with huge red ribbons, sparkles, lights and incredible visuals.... NO i'm not talking about the christmas displays, i'm talking about the H&M shop windows!!!

As we've all been well aware H&M have chosen the super- talented fashion house 'Lanvin' to produce this years winter capsule collection. Finally, we have seen the previews and have an official launch date of Tues. Nov. 23rd when the pieces will be available to buy online & world wide!

H&M's limited edition, designer collaborations have been pretty crappy in the past (just my opinion). The've had some legendary designers take part, however the designs and garment quality has been pretty shoddy and way over priced...

I'm actually overly happy to see this amazing collection from Lanvin (though they never do wrong) and i have heard they have used a higher quality of fabrics and materials throughout this collection alongside a realistic price point... Also, they've done a pretty fine job on their mens pieces too ;)

Now I didn't think I could love skating anymore- but it turns out I can, & do. I came across this video on the OG, Z-Boy, Jay Adams profile, posted by Gina Paoli. It's beautifully shot & I was moved by how skating has given hope to the children growing up in a war torn country like Afghanistan. Skateistan is the world's first co-educational skateboarding school. Their ultimate aim is to enable the Afghan youth to bring social & economic change to their communities & rebuild their lives, as well as others. I hope they manage to take this project further to Iraq, Palestine, maybe even Sudan. I hope you like it as much as I do, thanks for bringing it to my attention Gina/Jay. Watch this-

What can I say about this video? I don't quite understand what point he's trying to make, but it seems to me that it's all centered around himself (shock horror), & how people hate on him because he's so different, and forward-thinking, and great, and stylish, annnnnddd the rest. The best part of this half hour long video, is the 'White Dinner' when the ballerinas rush in & he sings, "Let's have a toast for the douche bags"- yep, you said it Kanye.

Overall I think it's okay, but I'd still rather watch & listen to some Cudi or Doom- jus' sayin'. However, why hasn't he exchanged the stripper for the beauty that is Selita Ebanks?! FOOOOOOL! & I love the feather costume- one for Halloween.

So Brit Asia TV got in contact with me via my old uni' to ask me to do an interview for a new show about up & coming Asian talent. I was flattered to say the least! I know I missed out a lot of important points I wanted to make, but I think it was the first time interview nerves. This autumn M.A.C will be launching a collection in collaboration with Disney, but not a typical Disney princesses collab that you'd expect, in fact they've turned to the dark side and are launching the 'Venomous Villain' collection.

The makeup trend for autumn/winter is very dark and graphic so you can see why M.A.C turned to the obscure colour palette of the cartoon bad- girl... and guy!

There will be 4 collections, each inspired by: The Evil Queen from Snow White, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Dr. Facilier from Princess & the Frog and Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians!

The colours range from Hot Reds, Deep Purples, Golds and Nudes with stunning metallic, multi- tonal nail varnishes that look like toxic poison spills!

I cant wait for this collection to launch in the UK... aahhhhhh.....

Pentax & Nanoblock have collaborated to create a 'customizable' camera. Now I'm not sure how great this camera is at taking photo's but I want it anyway! Now I like doing my nails just as much as the next girl but San Francisco based, 23 year old Ashely Sade, takes nail art to a whole 'nother level- the PIMP level that is! I was lucky enough to get a quick interview in & share the good sheeeiiiittt with you all!

Hey Ashely! Let's start at the beginning- when did you realise you have a talent for nail art & how did you get into it?

I actually didn't know I had a talent for nail art! It started when I first met my boyfriend, it was during the beginning of our 'talking phase' & I was tryna be all fancy with everything did, but that sh*t ain't cheap! Plus basic designs weren't the business, from there on I started building up my collection of nail varnishes & put my ass to work! It literally turned from impressing a boy, to an obsession with having my nails did all the time, to an actual hustle! Plus it helps being artistic & always having a mind full of creative ideas!

Now your designs are very unique, where do you find inspiration for them?

I honestly get inspired from anything & everything. It could be a music video, tv show, a colourway from a Jordon sneaker, magazine ad', clothing prints etc- you name it, I'll do it. I'm down for the outlandish sh*t, any random ideas that come to mind , I type them in my Blackberry notes or make a quick sketch of it. I swear to heyseuse I got A.D.D with themes- my 'nails to-do' list is hella long!

Haha! I can imagine! So tell me, what other talents do you possess?........

I just might be...... a triple threat & then some when it comes to creativity! Not only do I have bars in nail art, but I also do hair, make up & paintings. On top I'm a fashion design grad'! I'm kinda like the 'Jill' of all trades! But one thing a lot of people don't know is, all of these beauty skills are self taught. I've never been to Cosmetology school- although I still plan & dream to. I just get as much practice in as I can & I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of clients who believe in me.

You're obviously in demand then! Where do you find the time to fit it all in?!

Haha! I ask myself that a lot! I guess when you have a passion for something so bad, you'll find the time to go for it. I'm all for the rise & grind, no days off type of bullsh*t.

Amen to that! Does all this money making feed your Hellz Bellz addiction?! Haha! How about a co-lab? Some Hellz Bellz nails to go?!

Yes! I abso-f*ckin-lutely love, love, love, LOVE Hellz Bellz! & I'm sure the whole damn staff knows it lol! Getting 'in there' would make me die- I'd love to! Hopefully Lanie (Hellz Bellzfounder) sees this somewhere! There are definitely some ASADE X Hellz Bellz themed nails coming soon! I did design some HBIC ones inspired from MISS 'a woman's work' photoshoot though.

Lastly, any future projects/aspirations? ASADE nail/beauty bars maybe?

TONS of art projects that is. Between my full time job as an administrative assistant & my art$y side hustle, I have a lot to handle- most def' ain't mad at that! But just keep following my blog & I will do my best to keep the world updated in what ASADE has in store! :)

Corinne Day, the British Fashion Photographer who helped Kate Moss rise to success in the 90's has passed away after suffering from a brain tumor, aged 45.

Her raw, documentary-style images are amongst the most iconic in modern fashion photography. There is an unrelenting honesty in her early work, unlike the airbrushed, glossy images of supermodels that we are bombared with.

Oh no there isn't, it's just the fly's legs! Yes, that's right, the new false lash craze- FLY LEGS! Artist Jessica Harrison takes the legs and glues them to the eyelash line aptly naming them, 'Flylashes'. I was shocked when I first heard about this- do they 'clean' the legs before they apply them to someones eyes?! I couldn't bare the thought of having any kind of insect parts on me, never mind my face! For those that don't mind though, time to get fly catching! Careful of the pink-eye though.......

Here is a CB FIRST EVER, EXCLUSIVE interview with the one & only, beautiful, Luana Rodriguez AKA Luii BADASS! & a badass she certainly is! Luii is a 23 year old, up and coming Puerto Rican model/artist from Brooklyn, New York- and she breaks all the rules! Her eclectic style & unique looks make her stand out from the crowd, not to mention her amazing tattoos! I caught up with Luii to get to know some more about her........

Hey Luii! Tell me then, how did you get into modelling?

I'd always wanted to model but never thought I met the 'model standards'. I started to cover myself in ink and then one day someone asked me to take some pictures, we linked up, took some photo's, I posted them online and it started from there!

Sounds like a dream come true! How long have you been modelling for then?

I've been modelling for a year

You're obviously not the typical 'model' stereotype- how tall are you?

I'm 5' 3" and a half. I'm glad, I don't believe we should be stopped from living our dreams because of how we look

Amen to that! When did you start getting tattoos?

I actually waited until I was eighteen so my mom couldn't say anything, and then she came with me for my first one! It's on the back of my neck, a heart with a tribal butterfly

What's your favourite tattoo?

My favourite one on me would be on my thigh, it says, "Girls just wana have fun" in lipstick! I love Cyndi!

Oh yes! Cyndi is classic! I love that tattoo as well, but I think the guns are my favourite! How much do you think you've spent on ink?

Haha! Maybe around $3,000- most of my pieces are about $200 plus each

Haha! I want to donate my skin when I die, to a museum. All my ink parts, so look out for Luii skin in a couple of years!

Hmmm.... style- I really just wear whatever I think looks nice. I don't follow, I like to do my own thing and stand out

Any other obsessions apart from tattoos?

Texting, slurpees and thigh highs! Haha!

Well I just recently left my old job, I was working at a real estate agent office for four years

I can't imagine you working on real estate!

Haha! No one believed me when I would say it. They were really cool and let me be as long as I didn't come to work with a tit hanging out, they loved me!

Hahhahaa! I just choked on my drink! You must get a lot of attention- any crazies?

Haha, yes- which sucks 'cos I'm a friendly person and they take it way too far. One time a girl came upto me, sniffed me and started humping my leg! I was like WTF, haha! I just stood there

Sounds traumatic! What does the future hold for you (apart from more loco's), any projects in the pipeline?

I leave for LA end of September, I'll hopefully be doing a few projects out there. I'll be working with an upcoming bay area group, The Freshman

PAKISTAN FLOODS

Imagine the whole of England being submerged under water? This is the reality millions are facing in Pakistan due to the immense flooding. I am disappointed & disgusted with the lack of interest from 'celebrities', unlike the amount of attention & press the Haiti earthquake received. The number of people affected by the floods is more than the 2004 Tsunami & the 2010 Haiti earthquake combined. Alyssa Milano, Lady Gaga, P Diddy & A Trak are some of the handful who are trying to raise awareness & money, but it is still not enough.

However, I am proud of the British public who have donated 30 million alone. Many countries have 'pledged' millions in aid- here's hoping they actually follow through & the people of Pakistan receive the help they so desperately need.

Hulk Hogan, Shawn Micheals, Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, Texas Tornado, The Million Dollar Man Ted DeBiase, The Undertaker, Legion of Doom - I could go and on about the golden era of wrestling and all the greats that went with it but I will resist. My good friends over at Soapbox have dropped a tee giving props to one of the greatest wrestlers that ever lived and the one with the best hair - The Ultimate Warrior. I have seen this t-shirt come to life from the initial conversation about wrestling that sparked the idea,to seeing the sketch on paper, taken to the computer and finally printed to the high standards you expect from the Soapbox guys. ' The True Warrior design is !00% hand drawn' says Dan of Soapbox (and I can vouch for that), 'which is also the effect I stuck with for the printing process.....I wanted to get that Manga type vibe of movement and emotion hence all the speed lines'.

The KhanDashians hit LDN town! Boy did we have a BUSY day! We stopped off at the Spitafields first & ended up being on film for some antiques show, bumped into Skinnyman in the middle of rolling one up, then we hit the Mishka sample sale on Brick Lane (where Skinnyman had already got the best bag & filled it with clothes, haha!). Met the OG Greg who co-owns Mishka- he's a New Yorker through & through! Then we made our way to Brix-ton to meet the beautiful Siobhan at her vintage shop Strong Look, which now stocks The Candy Bitches (clothing) & Jewel Heritage jewellery! I copped myself a black Barbour for £20! & there was a large VW bag for £150! Wish I'd brought it now! We couldn't stay long because we had to make our last stop at Kettners, where the Kings Mens skincare launch took place. The amazing Francesca Marotta invited us to this exclusive event & we thoroughly enjoyed it!
